Teams from Australia and around the world took part in the FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) Robotics Competition (FRC) regional event at the Sydney Olympic park sports centre on march 11-14, 2015 project management apps.

Wednesday we unpacked our robot and set it up in out pit area. This is where the robot is worked on and repaired when needed.

Thursday we arrived early to put out robot together and have it inspected ready for our practice matches. We did not pass our first inspection due to electrical issues, a challenge that we overcame.

Friday we arrived early again for the start of the competition. Driving the robot on the field for the first time was exciting and a relief. We designed and built a robot in 6 weeks. and there we were, playing a game called “Recycle Rush”.

Saturday 33 teams from Australia, Singapore, Taiwan, China and Hawaii competed in Recycle Rush. We made it to the quarter finals, where we were chosen by team 5761 (Illawarra) along with 5663 (Rio Tinto Ground Control) but it was unfortunately our last game played at the regional. Congratulations to all teams who competed.

RoboRoos team 4537 were winners of the FIRST® Robotics 2015 Regional Creativity Award sponsored by Xerox.

It was the hardest fun we ever had!

Ready, Set, Rush!
